What does it mean if my DS is backfiring and hiccuping when I give it full power. I think its because of the hugh weather change were having in Baltimore. What can I do to fix it. When it was warm the DS ran perfect.

Youre right when the temps drop it will make your DS run more lean then normal. Youll probably want to put a bigger main jet in there depending on how much the temp dropped. Also try richening up your idle mixture screw a half turn at a time to see if that helps. The temps here in the Upper Michigan are in the 30's and the 190 main jet seems work pretty good, im forget what my DJ needle is at.

A thread was started by i forgot who but the guy was having the same problems as me. Our DS's were both hiccuping and backfiring. "The Punisher" suggested that we should clean out our carbs. I just finished doing that and it ran perfectly, a grain of sand or something mustve been lodged in there.
