Default Just got it! Wanna go faster!

Happy Day! Just got a bone stock 03DS 650 Red and some paddles. I want to gradually give it some attitude and performance! Where does a guy start without a) killing myself and b) going broke. I 've read and learned lots of stuff on the forums but I am abit confused. Where do you recommend I start? I am a new to sport quads but riden alot of Utility Quads and Snowmobile. I do mostly trail riding in the desert. Occasional trips to Sand Mt. NV. Is an end cap and nerf bars a good start? If so which ones? Thanx

for those trips to sand mt' get a 15 front sprocket and a 42 rear it will help with the long pulls the end cap gets good reviews from riders.

i really like the end cap that "MisterHP" makes, the hardest part to that mod will be getting all the stock screws loose. as far as nerf bars go ??????? don't you lose your foot reverse?

K&N, End Cap (or new pipe), Jet, CDI (revs higher for those big sand hills). Obviously the more power you want, the more money you need to spend.

End cap, jetting, and filter are a great start. These will make a difference. Then try sprockets.

A CDI and End Cap would be a good choice - Front Sproket is also important. Also consider an Air Filter - direct mount.

what are the latest reviews on the new big gun cdi? also, didn't some people send their stock cdi box in for a upgrade? are the sponge filters better for dusty areas? (uni)
