Default Gearing Question?

At Dumont I was on the flats heading towards the drags on the front side of the hill and I had it peged in 5th reaching down for another gear. It didn't wind out on the R's like it did in 3rd going up the hill but, it had the torque to pull it if I had another gear (from what I felt.) Man, I can't wait to go again! One day back and rested and I am already ready to go again!

If I remember right the stock 40 rear requires the pulling of the hub for removal / installation. Has anyone ground off spots on the sprocket to make it to where you can remove it without taking off the hub? I think aftermarket rear sprockets don't require removal of the hub for removal/installation. That would make changes a bit easier. Just need an air gun mounted in the trailer now!

I was thinking about getting a 38 and 39 rear sprocket but, now I am thinking about getting a 17 front sprocket. Anyone have one in their garage collecting dust?

What's the larges rear sprocket you can fit with a 17 front sprocket on the stock chain?
