Does it make a differance if you are running a 10inch rim or an 8incher?
I do alittle drag racing and play around on MX tracks what should I run?

A 9 inch rim is a good "all around" rim. An 8 inch "may" be better for MX if you're running 18 rear tires and a 10 inch rim "may" be better for harder pack surfaces and could be better for running bigger tires for less sidewall flex.... I say stick to a 9 inch rim for all around use.

When a bought a set of ITP 10x8's for the rear using 22 inch Holeshots the narrower rim squeezed the tire a bit and made it a hair taller and a little more narrow. Also the 10x8's gave me a rear width of about 48" while the stock 9x9's will give you a full 50". Both setups have their advantages and disadvantages. My favorite is the 9x9'x with a set of Maxxis 4 Snow's, unbelievable straight line hook up!
