Looks pretty good. Are you going to make that in your garage, or do you have access to a machine shop?

lol, well thats the hard part, first i'll prolly just make a prototype outta wood, then try to somehow get machine shop access at school or somethin, hmmmmmm

and i dont' know if thats exactly how i'm gunna do it but most likely, and i'm not sure how i'm gunna do the running and brake light, at first i was thinkin of having only like half light up and wen the break light is on the rest light up, or just have a resistor on the running light, and no resistor on the brake

and i'm also thinking about having the ds650 part being able to light up on its on, but i gotta do one thing at a time

trailtech has an 1157 LED tail/brake light. It has 19 leds and is much brighter than the stock 1157. It cost $6.

well that'd b an 1157 LED bulb, which i already have, the problem is that the bulb is mounted sideways in the light so from the side its decently bright but from the back its not bright enough. the angle of which the light is distributed outward on a LED is just a straight outward direction, where as a normal bulb does more then that but doesn't stand up to the vibrations

btw, are the LEDs on your light open? or are they covered by something clear? i'm worried about a rock hitting it and breakin one

They aren't covered, but they are recessed in the housing.

lilnotts.... I know what you mean about the LED bulb facing sideways, mine was that way too, I just left it. But my one of my friends who has a DS took off the whole lens part of the brakelight, and made a little mount, and hooked the bulb into that, so it was facing outwards. The setup looked great, and man those LED's are bright. He used parts from the stock tail light setup, didn't cost him any money.
