2000 - 2001 Were both the 'standard DS only'
2002 introduced the Baja to the lineup, and kept the standard on hand. The Baja added a higher rev limit, a tachometer, a new look, hand guards, a new exhaust new bumper.
2003 the 'standard DS' got the higher rev limit on the CDI, nothing exciting changed for this year in either model.
2004 introduced the Baja X. Both the 'standard DS, Baja, and Baja X models now have several lighter parts on them reducing around 20 - 30 lbs of weight. Other than these changes the standard and Baja models are the same - The Baja X has everything the Baja has, adding nerf bars and skid plates & new graphics. (AND A BLACK FRAME!)
