Default Jetting & Midrange Torque

In tuning both a carb and EFI on the DS I've noticed that the motor is VERY particular about the mid RPM jetting. I've found that the crispness of the acceleration can be dramatically changed by mid RPM jetting. The mid RPM jetting has the biggest effect on acceleration than the other jetting dose. If the mid RPM jetting is off a little, the torque suffers. The motor seems to like mid RPM jetting for best torque around Stoichiometric, which might seem lean from the point of view of maximum power.

Stoichiometric is 14.7 to 1 air/fuel ratio!
