I use a $24 dollar garranteed not to break or your money back fibraglass whip with a stiff spring on the bottom. They sell them at LS and I have had it for 2 years know, and have when through 4 flags, and about 3 rollovers and still going.

If you want a GREAT flexible tapered stainless steal whip, look in the CB radio catalogs. they are about $17.

I like the idea of the CB antenna. But the the heavy spring idea isnt quick release. Now I just have to find a quick release for the CB antenna, and a decent flag that wont rip to shreads.

The CB whips have a stainless steal base, and the whip slides into it,and their is a small allen screw that secures it. My brother lost his allen screw over a year ago,and the whip has yet to come out of its holder by itself. He just slips it in ,and out. The trick is the have a good flag that wont wrap itself in the trees when you blast through them.

Why do ou have to have "quick release"? it take s less then 30 seconds for me to unscrew my whip off of the Spring base. Are you really that lazy??? LOL

Of course I'm lazy! Well, Quick release is the 'In' thing now. The idea that you don't need to open your tool box to put your flag up. I mean, I want to ride, not worry about finding the right tool unless I have too. But, thats just me - Quick release billet mounts are extremely cool too! Bling Bling!

For only $28, I wouldn't expect a warranty or a decent billet mount and high quality flag. The standard steel whips with the solid mount with flags that get ripped to shreads start at about $25 and go up to $60. Its about high time for a decent flag, pole and mount that lasts at least one or two seasons dont you think?

Weener Customs (Flag Holders) are 308L Stainless Steel and all the hardware is also stainless, I'll Take a Picture of the one on my Quad and post it. your mount bar will brake before the holder does.
these guys build some off the best frame sliders I've ever seen 6061 Aluminum with 308L Abrasion Face plates that can be interchanged. there just starting into road and off road custom accesories and there patent list is growing with them. $28.00 is a great deal the only thing that would be better is Titanium, give them some time.
