I am getting ready to put a stainless exhaust system on ebay. I tried to polish with 3m rubbing compound. it would not polish out. what is a good polish for stainless?

 

Is the stainless polished to a high gloss now?

 

Try finding a cleaner with phosforic acid in it, comercial refridgerator cleaner has some in it. Or even try coke, it has alot of phosforic acid in it.

I tried Flash Billet Polish once and loved it and the blue label is perfect for any metal that is already polished.

 

There is a great metal polish called weenol. I used to use it to polish metal on multi-million dollar yachts. I don't know if you can get it at your local harware store, but if not you can go to a local boaring supply place. Spelling may not be exact as I haven't worked on boats for a few years now but the parts people will know what it is when you ask them. That stuff is great.

 

Take the MBRP and throw it in the dumpster

 

We use this stuff on the bikes to take the blueing out of the chrome pipes. Its called Blue Job. It works great on chrome and stainless. I also like some stuff called Autosol
