Thanks for throwing gas on the fire but since the Raptor has yet to be released any comparison is purely speculative. Thanks for playing and hopefully this will be the last post on this thread.

quit whining, it was a simple question. its great that we have both of those to choose from, celebrate that question it could just as easily be, "why arent the manufacturers making any new high performance atvs?" u know.

Just contact chrism101......he has a crystal ball with what he thinks are all the answers. Seriously you can find a lot of comparison information already posted here using the 'Search' button at the top of the screen. A lot of which is just opinion. For what there worth you can buy the ATV magazines with the 'Shootouts'. The Raptor vs. DS650 is not far away. Good Luck.

I was hardly whining thanks. I am more excited than anyone about all of the manufacturers rejoining the high-performance wars. I own a DS and I will be purchasing a 2001, be it Raptor, Cannondale, or as yet un-announced Kawasaki. I am, however, worn out by the threads that contain no really useful information-just a base argument that ends up being a series of personal attacks. We have all seen those threads on the Yamaha side and in this forum-they waste everyone's time and energy. It's fun do discuss and even do a little bench racing before the new machine is released but too many individuals in these forums start a thread to be insulting and start posts with saying how bad someone else's ride sucks. We all enjoy the same sport and yes we'll all see how things stack up side-by-side I just choose not to bash anyone else's choice and instead just accept that their ride may not be the best ride for me. Wow-Do I sound like the Ghandi of this forum or what? Now if we could all just join hands and sing we are the world........

Keith,

Just wanted to say Hi and see if you will be free some time to ride and compare rides. This is not an attack, I live in Gilbert AZ and wanted to maybe meet up with another DS owner and show what I have done and see what others have done.

If you are interested, send me an E-Mail @ paulc86@hotmail.com.

Looking forward to chatting and seeing your DS.

Whining? Assuming the questioner is sincere, how can anyone answer the question, "which quad is [better]?", when one of the quads in question hasn't even been released?

Wait. Real world. Lack of knowledge, information, or hands-on experience or eye-witness observation deters few posters from posting strongly-held opinions regarding "which quad is [better]?". Silly me.

damn right whining, noone is required to read any of these posts, people do it for fun, for something to talk about, to compete, its great somebody can ask that question, its great we have something to debate, throw your two cents in about which you think is better and roll on thats the point of a discussion forum about atvs.

Good points, 747!

Now, would you please share YOUR opinion, answering the topic initiator's question? Which is better, a DS650 or a Raptor? Thanks!
