Default Stage 2 jetting??? Help!

Just put the monster back together and need to jet this monster before I go to the Dunes on Presidents day. I now run a 150 and it's been Dyno tuned to perfection. I need to know where to go next. I'm thinking that I should go to about 165 or 170. Any ideas. I'll make sure that I make some runs on this thing and carry my tools so that I can make changes when needed. Just wanted to get somewhere close before I went.

Can anyone give me a setup that's working on there Stage 2 now. I'm around 500 - 1500ft elevation.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

Oops... forgot and just incase you didn't see my profile.

Running the TM45
RWR 11.5:1 piston
Web Cam 110 intake and stock exhaust
K&N carb mount.

Your 150 sounds a little lean for what you did to it. Run what you have first. Take a look at the plug after about 10 minutes of riding. If it is chalky white, go up to a 155. Go in increments of 5 and you should be safe. Take you plug readings about 5 to 10 minutes apart. Also watch you exhaust for the white chalk. I am thinking you will be about 170 for where you are at, but I was surprised when we jetted for Sand Mountain. I think Champion Spark Plugs has a web site with the plug readings for your reference. Any of the major spark plug companies should have that on their web.

Where did you set your needle at?

Hope that helps. Ride safe.

145-150 works good. 160 was to much.

Default Stage 2 jetting??? Help!

Great to get 2 replies, both both are pretty far from eachother. I can't imagine that 145 - 150 will be right, for the simple fact that I'm there now. I realize that I'll be pulling more fuel, with the cams and the RPM increase, but I would think that It would try to pull more and come up short without the increase in jet size.

I realize that I will need some tuning time, and it will go on the DYNO to get it as close as possible. But I may not be able to get it in before Presidents day. Just hoping that someone out there has a similar set up that is working to get me in the neighborhood of correct.

Keep it coming guys.

Yup...when I was at the the stage 2. In fact the exacxt same piston, carb and cams at Dumont my 01 satge 2 DS ran it's best with clip 3rd from the top 150 main and the accelerator pump squirting directly at the needle. Also a 15 / 42 gearing.

Default Stage 2 jetting??? Help!

Great guys.... Thanks for the help. From what I'm reading, leave it where it's at and then fine tune from there. I'm not running the accelerator pump right now, but have a new setup in a bag from RWR. I think in my free time today, I'll take a look and might install it. Hope to see some of you at DUMONT this President's Day weekend. Should be a blast.

Thanks Sandman, Eagle and DSX
