Default Plastic Polish

Is there any type of polish that will work on the plastic on these things? It doesn't take long for the fenders to lose their shine does it?

plastic renew works good but it takes alot of sanding if your plastic has deep scratches.

For just a quick shine armor all or the formula 2000 in the green bottle work great. Infact I think this what John Deer recoments for its plastic parts. As every time, at a golf couse I worked at, a new Deer came in with a bottle of 2000.

to tell you a little hint Pledge works good to shine up dull plastic. (yes the dusting stuff) just spray it on clean plastic and wipe it off to a nice shine

I like to use Meguiars cleaner wax on my back stock fender. it helps a lot but wont make it brand new. But with the Renew which i have on my front fender it keeps it shining like no other, better than new look.
Try car polish and its cheap at Checker or Walmart.

My ds was scratched pretty good when i got it used. I tried buffing with rubbing comound and a 800 rpm buffer and and automotive 1" nap buffer wheel. It helped, but not to my liking and was a lot of arm work. Major pain in the rear for the results.

I later tried the plastic renue. Its basically looks like the old days style floor wax to me? I took all the plastic off and did it in the clean dust free basement. I like the results, BUT! Dont put stickers over it, they will come right off and pull the renue off with them. If you want to add sticker later, Use duct tape to pull teh renue off where you want the stickers, then sand with teh fine steel wool, apply stickers, and recoat several coats of renue, bufing with teh steel wool inbetween untill the area blends with the old renued area. Kind of a pain but nice and shinny...

If you use it, replace any bad stickers and add any future stickers you are planning on appling first! Then after you have all decals on, then use the PC Plastic Renue. My buddy is pissed cause the DS shines more then his new KFX700, and! the DS still goes faster......
