Cool, you should be faster! I have some 21x7x10's mounted and I didn't know if I needed a different size wheel for the 22x8x10 razorback's that I have on the way.

I put a set of 21x7x10 sandstars on before the Newyears trip to Dumont. Before that the stock front tires did the job.
I noticed improved turning ability over the stockers but not so much so that I would speak up and strongly recommend them to everybody.
They are about a pound lighter then the stock, both on 190 rims.
If you want a cool looking tire and want to fit in with the dune crowd, then you definately should plunk down the $150 for a set (includes mounted on rims). But the stock tires do a fine job in the sand IMO.

I had the King tire on my predatory and it was "OK". I didnt notice an improvement over stock. In fact,I think having that tire on my Pred made me question what tire to get. Stock seems to work fair and even better on sidehilling. I ride snowmobiles and highmarking is something that I naturally do out of habit and I love getting to the top and carving or just carving the tops of the dunes. Im going to get a pair of Sand Stars and give them a shot. I can always ebay them if I dont like them.
Thanks for the input everyone!

I'm still running stockers in the sand. Never had a problem making a corner, at least not because of front traction. I tend to get into wicked 4-wheel side slides that I should have came out of the power a tad sooner.
But the weight statement, now thats a reasonable reason to go with sand tires. Whats the lightest front tire combo for the DS -- yet still provide good traction?
On the nose dive thing, if you pin the throttle, that'll go away!
