Are the dunes there better than little sahara?

 

No, they arent as fun by any means. Its real close is the main reason I ride there. Little Sahara is about 10 hours from here. Hard to make a weekend trip.

Has anyone heard from Ward660 lately?

 

Someday evryone needs to make a trip to Kermit,TX dunes. It is about 25sq. miles of dunes anywhere from 0ft. to 130ft. They are like a mini glamis. Look on a map and find Kermit, TX. It is on the southeastern point of New Mexico in Texas. The dunes are 10 miles north of Kermit,TX and it is about 20 miles southeast of the New Mexico state line. Try to make plans the drive is worth evry bit of it. Lance

 

Would it be worth a 14hr drive according to mapquest from winston salem,NC? My brother has been talking to a friend in mississippi and he says LA dunes are the place to be on a holiday. I might have to make a trip just to check it out.

Where do you normally ride?

 

Usually go to WV, or a couple of hours east of here to the sand pits. The NC sand pits have a high clay content. I want to go somewhere w/ soft sand. I had thought of going to Little Sahara, but I definantly want to travel and see some new riding spots out of this area.

Its a long trip for North Carolina, If I was making a long trip like that, try Little Sahara. La. Dunes is around 550 acres. Yes on holidays its the place to be, several hundred bikes there.
