I had to mount my eTrex GPS especially since it was color co-ordinated to my Bomb :-) GPS Mounted

 

Were did you get this mount from and do you have a part #?

How is it that you live in Northridge and I've never seen you out at the dunes the same time I've been there. I think you've got to make an appearance one of these days. Myself and Bombastic might be headed out to Dumont this next weekend if you want to come along. We'll probably be doing a Saturday Day trip.

 

The mount is made for the eTrex by Garmin. It consist of a base that wraps over your handle bars or other
mounting surface. With a new battery cover/back for the eTrex that slides & locks into the base.
I bought mine at BassPro. < $20 Also Amazon.com sells it for about $15 plus shipping.

Do you guys think the display would more stable if I mounted to the frame versus the handle bars?

I mean more stable enough to justify me custom fabing one out of stainless?
