Default Air and fuel mixture screw?

Is the air and fuel mixture screw located on the left hand side right in front of the filter mounts on the mikuni TM45 carb? Thanks Haulinonthedunes

You will like this carb MUCH more with the accel pump activated. It's simply a plunger rod that you can see on the right side of the carb from the outside that dips down into the float bowl and squirts a little shot of fuel via a nozzle jet straight down the tubes. It's actuated by a white plastic spring loaded arm up by the throttle cable. If you have two plactic arms, one on each side of the top of the carb then you have the pump activated. If not, get a hold of Ron Wood for the kit (like$65) & install the #50 nozzle and adjust the squirt dutation for just a brief blast of fuel (not too long). BIG bottom end gains and you get rid of a certain "bog" that this carb induces beacuse of the 45mm bore, without the accel pump you get a big gulp of air and a "hiccup" of stumble right off idle when you crack open the throttle. Simply put, too much air all at once without fuel to follow soon enough.

I understand some of that but the other u lost me. I see where the rod goes through that little hole on the right side of the carb down into the bowl. But what i cant figure out is that the metal thing where the rod goes into the bowl, does that stay in there or do u have to pull that metal piece out for the rod to go through. And also the plastic things u where talking about. I have one plastic thing where the throttle cable goes by the spring that makes it twist but there is not one on the other side. Sorry if u dont understand what i am talking about but i am trying to explain it the best i can. Will the fourwheeler still run without the accel pump activated, but it wont be as responsive right. What that means is that when you give it alot of throttle like if u are in a drag race it will bog when u hit the throttle but then the gas will catch up to the air and it will run fine, isnt that correct? Please let me know how this things is suppost to work because like i said i have no idea about this carb. Thanks
