Default carb leaking

Theres a vent line coming off the carb bowl and routes back and lays on the swing arm. I'm occasionally getting gas leaking (pouring)out of it and the bike will stall then not start. It seems maybe the float might be sticking and flooding the engine. I'm I on the right track.? It only happens occasionally but usually at a inopertune time ( i.e. uphill ) . And is the remedy rebuilding the carb or is there something simplier? Thanks

Sounds like maybe the float needle valve is sticking and letting fuel to continue to fill the carb bowl. Possible that it is just gotten a peice of dirt / sand causing your probs. Take her apart and blow evrything with compressed air. If you don't run a fuel line filter...I would get one. Also before you put it all back together check the float level for proper level.
