Default MSD Or Vortex

Was wondering what one to get for my 720 . Pros and cons of each. I am currently running a RW cdi. is it worth changing?

I get the impression that the Vortex is great & quite customizable, but is simple enough for an average joe in stock form. I think the MSD just takes what the vortex does but to another level, I think if you're really serious about squeezing out every ounce of speed the MSD could be the better way to go. I'm actually suprised that Annihilater doesn't have both the Vortex and the MSD, considering what he is doing with his machines. I think either or both of those boxes are a pretty safe investment. If you didn't like either one, selling it would NOT be difficult.

I have gone from Ron Wood race CDI to the Vortex I just need to make one adjustment on the Rev limiter some times I just hit it. It is nice to have the traction setting for starting and tight trails and when you get in the open just hit the switch for the performance mapping

I think I read somewhere that mr hp had a cdi comming out, I may want to see what his options are. But From what I gather (via blackhawk) MSD is what I should be looking at. I should be on the dyno this week trying something different.

BilDS650- Since I dont trail ride, Do you think the vortex out does the RW for hillshootin or drags?. I would guess that would be the performance mapp, Or is that adjustable too? I guess Ill do a search ... Good to hear both opinions though.

i am totally satisfied with the performence of the rwr cdi. i just like the safety net of knowing i have a rev-limiter to keep from blowing my engine.
