In my welding class I have to decide what i'm going to do for a final project, so i was thinkin of maybe making some stuff for the quad, maybe a bumper and a 6 pack rack or gas can rack, maybe some loadin ramps too, so if you guys could hook me up with some pictures of them on ur quad that'd b really helpful, thanx

 

check my pics. The lower grab bar allows easier "unstucks" in the deep stuff. Plus, by loosing the wings, you don't get the exhaust black stuff on one side.

Next version will carry a 12pack or a tackle box and sleeping bag....

Does that hit the ground when riding wheelies. I would imagine it would. Otherwise it looks pretty nice.

i just ordered a new Armadillow six pack rack for my ds, its coming today. ill try to snap a few pictures of it. I chose the armadillo because i can now store stuff when im out in the dunes (camera/etc etc) and it also has a stronger flag mount and comes with tail light mounts.

 

well basically i'm just lookin for different bumpers on ds's, just so i have something to go by, i talked to my teacher today and he said it'd be no problem to make the gas can rack type deal, we have the flat bar bender right in the back of the class, i showed him a few bumpers(DG one and PRM) and he said it won't b really easy like the rack but it can b done with the pipe bender in the auto shop which luckily for me there is no class during that period.

I'm not much of a wheelie guy, so I never really thought of that. I'll have to check out at the dunes this weekend.

Well, sorta stock, I used the stock front bumper lost the plastic (optional) removed the plastic brackets and cleaned it up so you couldn't tell they were ever there then using a tig torch flowed the factory mig welds and fixed couple of weld faults, then had it chromed, it's simple and clean looking and I have had several compliments on it, it just seems to me most of the aftermarket bumpers look out of place on the DS, maybe we'll make one out of aluminum next and chrome it too, [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] couple of pics of the bumper in this

My riding buddy who owns a aluminum welding and fab shop made my six pack rack (back then nobody was making them) cooler and a ventless gallon gas can, gota have one out in the dunes, rack photos
added tabs for flags on both sides of the handle since the photo's pm me if you'de like some close in photo's
