DS 650 beat a KFX 700 in a drag?

Not $1200 for a DS, $1200 for decent mods for a DS.
The clutch kit for that is about twice as much as a Polaris & the exhaust ...$500-$900!!!!! I must be cheap, my DS exhaust was only $185.

Yah I seen what you said so I changed it in about 5 seconds, you must of been on the ball.
I'm talking about a complete replacement exhaust not just the muffler. $185 is even cheap for just the muffler. The clutch kit is more mainly because of the face plate and weights, you rarely get that on a Polaris or any other clutch kit sold by high lifter or anyone else.

It would be a close race, the CVT can really take advantage of big power. I would love to see this race. Also from what I hear, a V-Force with the 800 big bore kit, cams, CDI and exhaust, basically what I said above would out run a big bore YFZ. Thats not to shabby.

bbertram is right - this WILL come down to who has spent more money. It's possible at the price level of $8000 (total) one will be better, then at $8500 it'ed be the other way, and it'll swing back and forth.
They're very comparable machines, and if one has features you can't live without than that is the machine to get - I bought the DS, then bought a second one. (I don't mind the weight, and I LOVE the durability factor - already tested that out & it scored an A+.)
I've raced a couple of Kawi's & I beat both of them twice each when I raced them. There is always someone faster than me out there so I'm not really worried about being the 'fastest' - I'll leave that up to a few select people in the forum who really like to get going quick. My hat is off to them - I'm hoping to join that group in a few years after my business is more established and then perhaps I'll have a little more time to spend on my DSs like AZSand always seems to. (Not to mention all of the other 'goodies he has, Hummer, RV, Rail, Trailer, who knows what else!)

I've dealt with both vendors and they are a pleasure to do business with.
