I sound like a broken record saying I traded my DS650 to a "friend" for a 2001 CR250. Everyone knows this, and I told you guys in a another topic how it broke on him right away and he was gonna pay me to fix it. So he drops the quad off at my house yesterday and I told him I would fix it as soon as I can get at it. Well we traded not too long ago but we didn't have the bank papers finished yet to put the bike in my name and the quad in his. My dad was gonna go to the bank tomorrow to handle it and everything would be cool.

Well today I drive up to my house comming back from work and I see my friend comming out of my house. He was talking to my Dad. He says to me, "you're gonna hate me." I was like huh? He says, "I'm taking the bike back because I think I'm getting screwed here." I said sorry man we already traded and you knew what you were getting yourself into and he even said that at the time of the trade. HE was the one that wanted to trade me in the first place! He says, "you don't have the bank papers done so the bike is still in my name meaning it's STILL mine." I got pissed and said man this is bull$hit! And I've got money of my own into the bike to get it ready for summer. I drained and put new gas and oil in it, a new gas line and filter on it, changed the gearcase case oil, cleaned and oiled the filter, cleaned the carb, etc.... That isn't much but I STILL DID IT. So there wasn't anything I could do about it since the bike is still in his name. After that I pretty much told him to F*#K off and walked inside my house. He went into my shop and got his bike and loaded it up and left.

So now I got my quad that he broke back and he got his bike that's all ready to go for the summer no thanks to me. I was SO PISSED but I'm glad I walked away from him because if I didn't there would have been a fist fight. The thing is there was nothing I could do about it, and I'm more pissed off that I didn't get the bank papers done earlier or this would have never happend. So I'm thinking great, now I gotta spend MORE money to fix this thing that HE broke. My dad went out in the shop for something and he came back in the house and says look at this... My dad handed me a note with $70 in it. The note said "call me if you need more money to fix it." My dad found this note and money in one of the intake snorkles of my DS. I don't know what else to say other than well at least he'll pay to fix the damn thing..... But I'm still pisssed...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

Oh ya, and another thing.... The top line in my signature fits me perfect. My luck will never change.....

That's the plan. Or being traded away. I could see myself on a yfz450 real easy.

 

I had to walk away because I KNEW I was gonna swing at him if I didn't. Plus he is or was one of my best friends... And I totally agree on the $70, but I already tore it apart today. You know, put my anger into doing something useful. I still don't know what to think about the situation....

 

Maybe you'll come out ahead in the end.

A YFZ would be a great choice. Just remember that ANYTHING mechanical will fail. Some sooner than others.

 

If I knew this a little ahead of time (like if he called me and told me he was comming to get his bike) I easily could have gone out to the garage, started the bike up, and twist that sonna b!itch wide open in neutral untill the motor flew apart. Then I would have asked him if he REALLY wanted the bike back.....

I would of walked in to my garage and pissed all over the bike and said take it you mother fu$k%r.
