Default Calling ALL Lectron 44 Guys... please help me keep my Lectron

Ward,

I think I saw you or someone else post that a while back which is why I took that route. I don't own a heat gun, but I do own a blowtorch so I just made sure not to get any one spot too hot. I tried bending the plastic by pressing on it with my thumbs first - all I got was sore thumbs. Then I tried the same thing with gloves, still no go, then I used the hammer and things came together after a lot of medium strength hits.

Entomber,

Next time I have the ability to take a picture I will, but this is only a concern if you have the IMS tank.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time and trouble You can give me literally a picture perfect idea on how to route mine. Right now my son's T-Rex is in the garage (only room for one quad at a time) but as soon as I finish her up (which is almost done that little thing is easy to work on) I will roll in my DS and see if I can get that cable running right. I'm going riding again this weekend and hopefully at least the thumb throttle won't pose a problem.

Thanks so much for your pics. THey helped me run my thumb throttle and with the motor off it's easier to push than it was before. However I mentioned my problem to MRHP and he said the motor (because of new displacement) creates a strong suction (vaccum) so it's pulling the slide towards the motor which in theory causes resistance. I tried it with the motor on and off and I felt a difference. He mentioned to polish the slide to make the action smoother and then possibly a softer spring. It is considerably easier to push than it was before and I'll try polishing the slide as well.....

Now onto my clutch springs I got them into today... hopefully I can deal with 40% stiffer springs

Good to hear you got it all worked out Entomber! I got mine dialed in tonight as well. I've got excellent throttle pull as well as a good idle etc. I'm very pleased with how well this thing went together. With any luck I'm going to hit Dumont this weekend and see how much more fun it is now!
