Default Piston ?

My apologies - you are correct- it is only a 2% difference in piston weight, not 20%. You wouldn't be able to feel 2%.

I still don't understand the vibration thing with a lighter piston?

Its alright man, I asked the this guy the same thing. I thought the lighter the piston the better off u are but he said no u dont want to light of piston because u will have alot of vibration. I probably wouldnt go any lighter than MR.HP's performence piston, because from what i have heard his a pretty light but good enough to where u wont have any problems. Its probably not a good idea to hold a 14:1 compression engine at WOT for long periods of time(desert Racing). That is alot of strain on the bottom end. IMO you would be much happier with a 11:5 piston. You can change cams to put the power in the right rpm range for you.
