Thanks for the spring advice! I was rather disappointed with the lack of low end torque, and the blubbering when either hammering or rolling on the throttle when in a gear higher than 1st. I stretched my spring from 110mm to 135mm. I also made a freer breathing tip for the muffler out of aluminum, having a 1 13/16" outlet diameter. These two changes significantly improved low end torque and throttle response. I detect no hesitation, the DS is now much more fun to ride! I'm running stock pilot and main jets, and the clip is in the stock location. I'm at an elevation of about 500ft., the temperature during my test ride was about 80 degrees F.
Anyone know what the correct float height is? My service manual says 10mm, but I either don't understand something about where the mesurement is to be taken, or the 10mm stated dimension is wrong. Keep up the useful posts! BillB

The way my friend measures the floats on his banshee is to take the measurement with the gasket off of the carb and on the base of the metal. Hope this helps.
