You can take all the "shootouts" and put them in one bucket and you won't have beans.

I thought I saw some links for an EFI system for a DS. Also a Turbo setup. Anyone have them handy. I did a search on this forum but couldn't find them. Help?

Here is the link I have: KMS Performance

I think AZSand, and maybe a few others, where having their bikes worked on. Supposedly prices will drop if they can gets some parts made locally.

Sandaholic, Thanks for the post. Tried that one, I think it has been changed to New link. I thought there was at least one other company doing turbo work for the DS. Oh well, I am sure I'll come across it sooner or later. One thing is true, if it had something to do with going fast on a DS, AZSand knew about it and had probably already tried it. lol.

The new link isn't working for me.

What parts are KMS trying to get made locally?

I don’t think the web page is done. I think they have the same info just for place markers.
And it’s the throttle body that cost the $$$$$

What's with these engineers? Couldn't they just choose a throttle body from a car or pickup that is the size they need and design the bolt flanges and electrical plugs to fit it? How much cheaper would that be? No small company can match the engineering ability of the automakers, and mass production makes their parts cheap. Really, the automakers don't make stuff like throttle bodies. Even on their scale it pays to outsource. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! USE SOME STANDARD PARTS!

Somebody get AZSAND to tell the KMS people that.

I can't imagine how much a DS would cost if all of the original R&D for the Rotax engine had to be paid for just by DS sales.

I'll get off the soapbox now.

From what I understand this throttle body is off a car. They contacted the company who supplied the ones for cannondale (a US company.) they didn’t won’t to deal on that small of scale. My bike is on its way today to get EFI. The way I look at it to buy a new carb. And all the stuff is about 600.00 if jet it wrong $$$$$$
1300 is not much when you consider what it could cost if you blew up a motor. An old man once told me, speed cost money son…how fast were you planning on going!!!
