Okay heres the deal. The reason I am posting this in the bombardier forum is because the amount of lectron knowledge.

I just recently put a single 48mm lecton on my 727 raptor. I can't seem to get it to idle as smooth as it use to with the stock carbs. So how do you tell whether you are lean or rich at an idle? If I just let it idle for a long time can I pull the plug to check the color of it, or does that only work at WOT?

Also I need a little help on lectron tuning. By screwing in and out the needle were does this affect the amount of fuel flow? Does it only affect the idle mixture or does it affect the mixture all the way till 3/4 throttle where the power jet kicks in?

I know how to tune a regular carb, but I new to the lectron idea and am still trying to get the hang of how things work on these carbs.

I always appreciate any advice, tips or tricks used to tune these carbs.

Thanks

i've heard the head on the raptor only flow good on the top so it may be hard to tune at idle, call mr hp and see what he can do for you.
