Frame Paint for the DS
#1
Anyone know of any off the shelf place to get some matching grey frame paint for the DS? I read a while ago there was a ford touch up pain that was an exact match. Anyone?

Just paint the whole frame then you will know what paint to use

That would be too much work... just want something to paint it up.. I got some rust (light rust) at the welds and I don't want any cracks in the future or anything. Besides I like to take care of my machines.

Entomber you say "That would be too much work... just want something to paint it up.. I got some rust (light rust)"
Thats my situation and exactly how i feel. I will try a few close cans of touch up this week and post my results. Ive been going to Auto Zone in the past for 3-4 dollar a can automotive touchup spray.
Sure it would be nice to strip the frame, bead blast it, Weld any spots requiring attention and then repaint it. Ive done it to 2 other bikes, but most people dont have the time or ability to do it. Frankly id rather go ridding then dismantle the entire quad for a few days or weeks.
Give me a few days, if no one else comes up with an option, ill find something close and post it.
