Default Who's making TVI swing arms?

Az you are right. I don't know if I caused the problem. Lets say I did for the hell of it. I just didn't like being lied to than charged. If Gary told me I screwed it up but he could fix it for a price I could except that but he said he would take care of me and he didn't. My shock was stock and I did bottom it out a couple of times. I know I did when we went up the hill at New Years. TCS shipped my shock on Friday so I hope I don't have to worry about this again. I really wanted to post good things about TVI but for some reason Gary hasn't give me a reason to. I am sure that I have some customers that are not happy (you can't make every customer happy) but the ones that tell me about it I make it right. I had one customer that overreacted about a problem and I offerend him a full refund labor and all $5300 worth. I didn't have to after we fixed the issue that day but that is how I conduct my business. Referrals are everything when you have a business. I am sure a lot of you know that. Sorry to make this so long and stand on the soap box but I take pride in my customer service and expect the same when spending my money.

OK first hings first...Yes Gary does have someone build his swing arms. The person who builds them has a great reputation for his work and craftsman ship. Secound of all.......Why would Gary Fix something for free when the owner of the swing arm is the one who messed it up?..Second of all. Who in there right mind would File down a weild to polish something?..... Sounds like someone is just complaining about there own dumb mistake..Trying to put the blame everywhere execpt where it belongs. And yes you can polish the swing arms..

DuneStalker I guess you can't read well or didn't read all of the post. First of all if you would look at my swing arm the welds don't penatrate though the metal on the shock mount. But as I said many times before that is not my problem with Gary. My problem with him is that he misrepresents himself and his product. He has lied to me and I have caught him and he than back paddles and rasies his voice. Gary told me "by the goodness of my heart I will take care of this" then he charges me money. Just read all the post DuneStalker and it should be clear what I was saying. I am not the only person Gary as done this to, I know because many have already had many PMs to me saying the same story. SO my problem is with Gary and that is where I am putting the Blame.

Exactly! I saw this swing arm before and after the fix. Filed down the weld and even into the primary metal. Even talked to the welder when I had some welding work done. Weaken the welds and your gonna get cracks. Why should a shop pay for a modification the customer does after getting the product, always voids the any warranty if a person tampers or changes the product.

I guess DSSleuth can't read either. Gary told me he doesn't offer any warranty on his product anyway.

Just don't agree with you Squatcher. You filed down the weld and even in to the primary metal. Why should any company pay for a customers modification?

Sounds like you want a free fix

I don't jump my DS. I ride the dunes and hillshoot a little. MY welds are not ground. When I called about the welds I was told that no one else had any trouble with the product and that it had to be my fault. Not wanting to argue, I had the repairs done locally to my satisfaction and have not had any cracks resurface after two trips to the sand. I guess I am just thin-skinned but when my concerns are dismissed off-hand or I do not recieve call backs, I get my feathers ruffled. Sort of 'cut off my nose to spite my face' because there are not a lot of DS performance(hic) shops to deal with and when you can't get service from one of them, you really cut back on your options. Life goes on and there will always be new customers/money to replace the ones that leave............Not.
