TM 45 Woods Carb
#1
How close does Woods get your carb dailed in??? is it a booger to jet??? the stocker is a pain to re-jet, so I believe the TM is very hard.
And again, has any one heard of anyone that has worked on the stocker, smooth or tapor bore it, to get more flow or thottle responce.

Idon't think Woods gets it dailed in, contact Hightower, he really knows his stuff on the 45. I've never read of anyone on here taper boring the stocker but people do mod the stock spring and there used to be threads about enlarging the ports in the bottom of the slide. I think there is more performance to be had from the stocker, I got ahold of a spare and some springs but I don't know when I'll get the time again to experiment.
I could never get a straight answer out of MRHP but I don't believe he tried any of the above mods on the stock carb before he started really pushing the Lectron. He did a big shootout between a stock bike and one that had a ported intake and a Lectron and TM45. It would have been interesting to see what a modified stock carb w/ ported intake could have done, but that doesn't sell carbs!

The TM45 is real easy to re jet. Just remove the big plug in the bottom and that gives u access to the jet. Don't have to remove the carb. Mine was dialed in pretty good. I ended up going up one size. I kept installing bigger jets till it started to studdddder then went back down on size.
