My brother has a 2002 DS 650 Baja, and the battery keeps dying. When he charges the battery, starts it, then disconnects the battery, the engine dies. In a car, it means the alternator or charging system isn't working. Is it the stator causing this? any help would be appreciated! Thanks[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

the DS will not and cannot run with the battery disconnected. this is common with many bikes and brands, its the way they are wired - takes juice to make juice.

you could have a bad connection, a bad battery, a bad rectifier, etc., start with the small stuff first.
