Default Tire Questions

Hey guys
What tires would you recomend for a lot of highway driving? I have 01 ds650 and most of my riding is done on the highway with some gravel pit and trail riding. Right now I still have the original tires on it but after 4000 miles they are very bald. I want something that will last as long but have better traction and bite off the line. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

GBC Shredders provide decent traction and have a harder rubber compound than Holeshots or Razr's do, so they should be quite long lasting.

Pure Sport Bandits have a hard compound and will last a long time. They work good offroad and on pavement. I had some on my last DS and rode it alot on the street and they lasted a long time.

i switched from the front stock tires to bandit XCRs, i really like them, they are softer than the stock dominators but are much harder than holeshots,

Default Tire Questions

I have my DS street legal and want to run DOT approved tires. Does anyone know any ATV tires that are DOT approved for street riding? I am also thinking about getting larger rims to put 14" car radial tires, this will make my DS faster, top end, and I think the DS had the power. The trouble is finding larger rims.
