Default In Need of HELP

I have an 02 DS650. I bought it used and have no manual. I am having some problems shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I can get it to 3rd if I really pull up hard on the shift lever. Everything else works great. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to say exactly but it sounds like one of the shift forks may be bent just enough to keep it from lifting the gear into place. Once it does go into gear and your hard on the throttle or pulling a hill with lots of torque will it pop out of gear or try too?
