I hate to say this but I dont think easter weekend in Utah is that big of a deal anymore. I think Mario gets to see alot faster bikes on off weekends than we do on easter. K&T builds fast stuff but since they sold there cranker they havent really built a crazy fast bike like that was. I want to go watch 4 stroke wars this year so I can see some fast four strokes. as far as fast stuff everbody goes to fallon nevada over memorial, then dumont on the 4th I have heard, I dont know where everybody goes for laborday. but I think we should Invite the 4 strokes to Utah for labor day. I know it would be fun to run Marios bike again, Maybe the turbo ds can get all worked out by then.
AS far as speed I would guess Mario was running close to 50 on the hills in Utah give or take a couple. Its to bad everybody in Utah wants to keep there 4 strokes for both the dunes and the mountains because it was a blast running against a truely fast guy, that was the only 4 stroke that I have ran in the last 2 months that I couldnt beat(Except for that one time )

Cpcpatriot:
Sounds like the list of fast four-strokes heading to Sand Mt., NV for Labor Day this year is growing!
Four Stroke Wars is a fun event at a great dune riding area but, I think you will be very disappointed in the drag hill. It is short, whooped out and not that steep compared to what I hear you have (comparisons to Sand Mt. NV).
Sand Mt. will be more your liking if you like to drag.
Hope to see you there. Sounds like we would be a good race.

well for Labor Day I will be in Utah, I am hoping that I have just missed the fast guys the last little bit and there will be some over Labor Day. I think all the 2 stroke guys have adopted sand mountain Nevada as the hill to run for king of the hill, why dont the 4 strokes Move four stroke wars to either Nevada or Utah and run a hill that has less whoops and is longer. plus that might take away some home court advantage for some builders, give the big bikes alot better runs with longer hills and less bumps. I know that wont happen but just a thought. Utah gets to around 100-105 in July. Later Dave

50 up the hill, Maybe It depends on who is measuring the hill and at what point. I have seen a 440ex "measured" at 50 but we measure the slowest point and the ex was down to 28 so it is all subject to interpretation.

The key thing about Four Stroke Wars is the timing. It is over Martin Luther King Weekend (Jan.)
I wouldn't want to go to Utah, Nevada, Idaho, etc. in January due to weather. I've ridden in shorts and T-shirt the last two trips to Glamis - It's like a trip to the tropics in the middle of winter.
That and the duning is awesome. There are a lot of people that come to connect with other forum members and riders they have met along the way. If you don't like to drag race or you only like to drag race a little, there is still world class duning to keep you busy.

I know for a fact that he is running close to 50. My bike gets faster as I am going up the hill it doesnt slow down. The very first weekend I had my nos I was running 45 mph at the slowest point up the face radar confirmed. that was very early and I got my bike running better since I am running close to if not above 50mph at my slowest up the face. Now the other side of the hill I would say that we are running closer to 55mph .
You guys missed all of our early morning racing. And I didnt see any of you guys really line up with either my bike or Marios
I would love to go watch four stroke wars. I know that I couldnt be a contender because I run pump gas and I am not a buddy of a good engine builder but it would still be a fun event to go to

Mario, If you head back there any time over the summer, let me know. I would like to tag along if the timming is right.
When I find time to put this thing back together, I will need to shake it down.

Last time we we timed TRX's shee he was in the low 50's Scott was a little faster and both were visibly faster than Mario. I am not taking nothing from you guys I just doubt alot of the speed that get posted. TRX's shee dynoed @ 82 HP and I seriously doubt that the DS is Making 90+ to overcome the weight diffrence. He is Fast and probably the Fastest normally aspirated DS around. He stomped me @ Dumont. I just have seen alot of "60+ mph" machines loose badly to a couple of 50 mph Shees.
