Sorry still nothing to do with tires.waynester, how often are you at silver lake? ridden any other dunes? (i just got back from my first BIG riding trip out to little sahara utah then some riding in wyoming/colorado and im afraid ill cry once i see silver lake after riding 20k acres lol)

I've never been out West, but yes there is a BIG difference between the dunes. LAst Year I went At least 7 times, Only once this year because, my tranny went out.. Silver Lake is a little under 3 hrs. for me.

Its risky to try are repair a sidewall with a plug or patch. I had a small puncture in the sidewall, got a tube put it and it runs great, can't tell the difference.

I put a tube in my rear tire for my DS 650 and it runs great. 70 mph with no problems.
It cost $10 for the tube and $15 to put it in.

Service Honda (219-932-3588). 44.75 plus 9.25 shipping. 54.00 total to my door. Always puch holes in the side walls. Part # 589810-1 - Tell them you need a front tire for a TRX 400 EX, same tire as the Baja. I have ordered 2 from them already.

I replaced three Ohtsu tires in less than 4 months. I have since replaced them with Razr II's and haven't had a problem since. If you ride woods or in rocky areas go ahead and start replacing them with a 6 ply, one at a time if you have to. Ohtsu's are about as expensive as a good 6ply (RazrII & Holeshot), but they are not even half the tire. JMO

I wish I was but I really doubt it. I don't think my friend can get off from work.
