I removed my RWR cdi because it did not have a rev limiter. I replaced it with an MSD. I am runnig 7 degrees over stock, all in at 3500 rpm with a 9750 rev limit. It is marginal, but I feel the RWR was a little stronger running. If anyone has the specs for the RWR cdi, I would like to compare the timing curve etc with the MSD. Ron Woods just says the box is set by the supplier and they don't have the spec's. ??????

 

that is the same reason I got msd box but I can even make it run read my post. No one seems to know what's in the aftermarket box's expect that they have differant rev limiters!!!

A long time ago before there were so many CDI's on the market, I was told by RWR that their CDI has varied ignition timing advance through the rev, and although they could not tell me all the curves specs and what the advance was at every rpm, I was told that timing was advanced 7 degrees at peak rev.

 

There are no printed curves for CDI's currently.
