well my bros buddy has a ds, and his lil brother has a yfz, they're both basically stock, except ds has the spark arrestor and restricting tubes, and the yfz is always behind
Don't believe a word this guys says not true, stock for stock I've seen it over and over the yfz walks away from the DS everytime, even different riders, Your going to have to put money in your DS like me to walk away from the yfz "and thats the fact jack"

Yes there are fast. As far as if you should get one or not depends on you. If your a big dude then the yfz will certainly feel way to little. If thats not the case then it may be worth considering. The only prob I've herd so far is that there is a platic plug on the head someplace that blows under hard load conditions. Not always...but I have herd of it. Maybe next years model will have that corrected.
By the way are you guys going to Pismo for the 4th? I'll be there starting on the 2nd til the 5th.

Naw Im headed for Montana to do some fishing for a cpuple weeks or so. I'll be going to Pismo for sure the 19th through the 22nd of Aug. though.
....good heads up on the plug fix. Glad to here it's cheap to correct. Water pump seal...LOL yea I think a few of us DS owners are very familiar with that fix.
I hate to say it but it cost a lot less to get a yfz to go as fast as a stage 3 DS. Not sure who pointed it out but...weight to HP does a lot. I am totally nothing but DS....however If had the duckets I would own a yfz in heart beat. But I would NOT give up my DS either.
What this post boils down to is buy what YOU need / want. Keep in mind you asked this question in a DS forum..Sooooo [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
