My raptors gonna whoop your DS (I think)!

You guys sure confident of a quad that isn't even out yet! Don't get me wrong it seemes that it will be a kick a$$ quad but I still think that it will have some post production problems just like the DS. I'll ride with any raptor out there and they MIGHT be faster but isn't the point to have fun and that is part of the enjoyment. No matter what any one says you can't win all the time. later- I'm off the sand mountain see you in the sand.

The thing that I like most about the Raptor right now is the competition it is creating, nothing like competition between the manufactures. Other than that I will hold my other opinions until they actually exist. As for whooping my DS.....so what. I personally didn't buy mine to race with nor plan to. It does what I want it to do...... haul a$$ in the sand. Its powerful, comfortable and stable to ride. Enough said.

From the specs. the Raptor and the DS650 should be running neck and neck. The most recent articles from ATV Action and Dirtwheels shows the same top speed of 75mph. I wish that Yamaha would unlease the beast to the public right now. Also, Dirtwheels mentioned that with a different sprocket that the Raptor would be in the 80mph range. It doesn't really matter in my opinion, just release the darn thing Yamaha!!!!!
P.S. The Raptor is able to wheelie all the way up to fourth gear! Thanks impressive for a Yamaha four stroke.
Toss between 01 Raptor/Blk/White 00 DS650
both are $6499.00 plus TTL

Keep in mind that any quad with 650cc should be able to pull a taller gear (smaller numerically). Keep an eye out on www.bombardierds650.com I heard they'll be posting top speed ratings relative to different gearing. That'll definitely be interesting to see!
