I destroyed my stock axle. If you are a big guy or like to jump they just don't hold up. No, not covered under warranty. Inner rims, I taco'd my fronts so bad once that it caught the front brake caliper and stopped the wheel dead after a jump.
Suggestions. The rims are an easy fix. Get shocks that are designed for your weight and riding style. I am jumping a lot farther than I used too and the rims don't bend anymore with good shocks on. The axle- if money is no obect buy a rad titanium axle. It is as good as it gets. I didn't hear any good things about durablue, but that is what I bought. It has been on longer than the stock axle and I have landed waaaay bad and it is still straight. Also they are only $289 from Rocky Mountain and they are warrantied.

Hey, where is SE Iowa? Do you ever end up at Bussey, or finger lakes, MO. I ride at bussey all the time and would like to go to Finger lakes some more.

Bluff creek is bussey. I am there all the time. Yea, those rad axles are pricey at $1000, but it would be the last axle you will ever buy. I work over in Fairfield a lot, and rarely in Mt. Pleasant. If you ever see me at bluff creek give me a hollar. You can't miss me. I am 6'6" and 300lbs. on the ds in my pics page. Hope you get your ds up and running again
