Default Cleaning Your Machine

I was just wondering what you guys used to clean your machines. I just started using Honda Brite. That stuff seems to work wonders. It leaves a film on the plastic and frame that gives a nice gloss. I got it real muddy and most of the mud hoses right off after. The nice thing is that you don't have to scrub to get debris off. That is helpful if you have black plastic. The plastic still looks close to showroom. Just wanted to share.

Simple Green and dish soap. Then after i'm all done washing and drying it I wipe some 2001 tire protectant on the plastics and it looks good as new.

Most dealers should have it in stock. The nice thing is also that it leaves a nice shine after drying it off. You don't have to put anything else on to make it shine. It is a little pricey at about $12 a bottle, but whatever keeps the machine looking new is great.

I wouldn't recommend using a hi pressure nozzle or pressure washer on your engine or electrical parts. When we wash our quads, we run the engine. We use simple green. After drying the bikes, we spray it down with wd40 to help displace water in the electrical switches and places we can't reach. Then, we wipe it down with a protectant, like Armor-All or something similar.

After washing mine, while its still wet I spray down all the plastic with egal one spray on wax, and then dry it with a micro fiber cloth.
It hides most of the scratches on the black plastic. And its not oily like armor all. Works great and looks geat too, and its easy!
