Default Are nylocks good enough?

I got my replacement hub from RAD (~$90) and would you believe they didnt come with

any new nuts!? So I went to the local bolt store and the closest I could come to the nuts is a nylock nut.

Will this suffice or do you think it might back off from the vibration?

thanks

Jon

nylocks are a good allternitive to lock washers or prevailing torq type nuts. I use them alot. just make sure to use a flat washer with them. the nylocks dont have the shoulder that the stock nuts have.

Nylocks work great as long as you don't subject them to heat....which on a hub, you won't.

Well,,,they dont work so well on driveshaft couplings (marine). I had one heck of a time trying to keep my skiff together one summer in Alaska... They just spun right off....I finally had to sekoflex em,,,,,and that got me thru the opener.
