Right on Demon!! And I agree with you AZ I hope Reed shows up with those little Rails of his. I need to go for ride in that Tom Pro so I can make a decision on which way to go. And I hope Jeff still isn't mad at me for putting sugar in his N.O.S. bottle.

I kinda want a ride in one of those Turbo Tom Pro Rails and I kinda don't $$$.
As for parking at Sand Mt.
Oh yes, you can get a Weekend Warrior to slide around
Just make sure you warn the family's around the road you are coming in on that you will be coming with a full head of steam and it would be best to keep the kids inside for a moment.
Best to stop on the road and walk in to pick your route. There is a little ditch off on the left side of the road which should be avoided as this tends to be the softest sand in some areas.

Well Demon stopped right in the middle of that ditch at 2am on the 1st DS Days He learned his lesson.
Elevation is 4000ft at the base and 4600ft at the top.
Temps can be anywhere from 70-100, hard to predict. But the average is in the upper 80's with cool evenings/nights and there is almost always a breeze so its not that bad.

Lets all not forget the Friends of Sand Mountain Annual Labor Day cleanup. last year was a great time. For every bag of trash you collect you get a ticket and they raffle off a whole bunch of prizes and everything too. Helps us keep the mountain open too.

Well said Sean!
Bring your checkbook too. The auction goes for a great cause and you even end up with a nice item to remind you of your generosity to the cause.
(Last year I bid on some Work's Shocks for the DS - I think this year the Wife is going to have me bidding on shocks for the Raptor )

Mark,
Do they have stuff in there thats not quad parts and stuff too. You know for those of us....well me anyways, that doesnt have a quad at this time? Mr Crowley and the bunch really do a good thing with the freinds of Sand Mtn. organization. Thing is you would think it would be a tree hugger thing and its not, its there to help make sure we can keep enjying the area the way we do now by making sure it is taken care of. That way the huggers have nothing to bark at, besides a dang butterfly!!
