That is really mashed up, but the chassis looks fairly straight - considering it just smashed into a truck. Imagine what a Raptor would have looked like in a similar incident. (Though I'm not sure it would have changed what happened to the rider.)
lilnotts,
How are you healing up?
You never said what the end result was on the DS from the insurance company.

i'm not doing to bad, i can't walk pretty good now, i go for physiotherapy tomorrow for it so we'll see how that goes, i got my first cast on my hand, kinda sux as its a full cast, but its only for two weeks so i'll live, most of the scrapes are fine,
as far as insurance we're still working on that, we're now sure that the appraiser knows absolutly nothing about ATV's, i'm pretty sure i heard him say to the other insurance lady that he usually does farm equipment

Tell him you can mount a mower on the back of your DS650 if he'll give you a better price!
Perhaps the best thing you can do is create a realistic itemized sheet of what you would like to see, though it may serve you best to not show that sort of document to him until after he tosses out the first figure - this way you know if you've got a fight on your hands or if you should quietly keep your paper folded up in your pocket.
Glad to hear you are doing OK - hope the therapy goes well.
I bet you've got wild memories of that event etched into your mind.
