Starting problem
#11
Just an update, the reason the starter couldn't turn the motor over was because my oil was full of gas. I did forget to turn off the gas when I garaged it (which I always do) and I guess my float is not shutting off the gas all the way and it was draining into the oil. I noticed while working on other things I was always smelling gas, I could really smell it from the end of the exhaust. Then when I would jump it and get it to turn over I could see raw gas coming from the header pipe. Checked my oil and it was like water with all the gas in it. Carb kit installed, changed the oil, check valve clearance, and it starts like new. Going to change the oil right away again since there was so much gas in it.
