Hey i ride trails and dirt hill climbs but mostly trails if i got a low comp piston would the efi turbo set up be cool for trail riding in reliability and easy or do you have to be in boost all the time?

I have been researching this also, and have come to a conclusion....only spend the big bucks on your engine if you drag race
otherwise you will have too much power on the trails/hills/ technical terrain and most likely will stall or crash...
if someone feels different, I would like to hear your side

I run a stock piston in my quad. I’m not a dunner most of my riding is in the desert. When I go out to practice I run all kinds of terrain from single track to wide open desert some of the single track stuff is so tight you don’t get out of first and second gear much. Turbo power is not neck snapping power. It is quite usable. My wife does on ride much but I have no problem with putting her on my quad and letting her puts around.
the power and reliability is just like a car. ask anyone who knows me when I go ride I ride all day. I don’t ride for 15-20 min then stop and have a beer I ride. In the couple of months I have hade my turbo I have practiced with it took it to the cinders and played with it. And I have raced it twice in the desert. If you wont fast and reliability get a KMS turbo.
I started off wonting a Ron Woods stage III kit. Then I found this forum and found out about EFI. Called Kelly at KMS got the EFI.I was still planning on getting the rest of the Ron Woods stuff. I had rode a friends stage III quad and was sure that was what I wonted……..Until I rode a KMS turbo quad. All I can say is WOW if you have a trip planed to a AZ get in touch with me Ill let you ride my quad you will be hooked to.
