air pressure-sand tires
#3
3 to 5 psi works well for me but it really depends on the type of tire and the sand conditions though. The paddles will not bend due to PSI under normal conditions unless you are really low like 2 or so.

higher pressure equals more traction due to the dig. kinda opposite knobbies, for more traction on knobbies you drop down to 3psi.
but the lower the pressure the more cush so a smoother ride.
I run 5-6psi in the rear for good bite and a decent ride. 3psi in the front for a smooth ride and good steering. cause too high psi up front and the front will push in the turns more and slide past where you wanna go.
some guys I've talked to that just drag run much higher pressures, I was surprsied to here that.

depends on the sand conditions. very loose powder sand run lower psi to get more floation better bite and you don't dig in. I run 3.5-5psi in the rear and 4-5- up front. I don't go over 5psi up front. people run higher psi up front for dragging because it has less drag and makes for faster runs. Someone once posted; think of a wheel barrel lower tire pressure harder to push, more psi easier to push. That is why guys that drag run higher psi.
