Default PSI?????PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Hey, my i just bought a DS, and the tire has a slow leak. While filling it up, we noticed the tires said either 36 or 3.6 PSI. My dad says its 36 and my freinds freind(lol) runs 3 to 4 PSI in all of his machines. What PSI should i run?????????????????

Definately NOT 36PSI! One peice of advice. Get yourself a good low pressure tire guage with a dial readout like this one. The one that comse in the factory tool kit is not worth beans.

Definately 3-5 PSI. 36 PSI is probably the suggested PSI to seat the bead.

That actually happened to a riding pal of mine. The 1st time he and I went riding I noticed somethingwas wrong, but I couldn't figure out what it was...I thought maybe his shock preload was way too high, or that his shock might have been siezed. I was looking at his bike, and leaned on the tire...it was as hard as a rock. I asked him what his psi was, and he said the side of the tire said 50 psi, so that's what he put in it. I told him that was to set the bead, and he freaked. He'd ridden it like that since he'd bought the bike. I lowered the PSI to around 3, and he said it was like riding a totally different bike. LOL
