Yeah, and those motocross guys think that drag racing is safe!
I'm praying for ya Gary -punctured lung sounds very serious.
I heard that machine was turning 4.9's in 300ft with a lightweight rider. Anyone know what bore and stroke it is?

he is still in the hospital but all looks good. seems if i remember right the turbo got a 4.7 in, major was right in his explaintion of the turbo it pulls strong the hole time. the nitrous would stay with it under good pressure and close to the same rider size, but lose any pressure and it would pull away. the header pipes were giving it trouble all weekend, but that is just a process off adjusting. we both entered king of the dunes single cylinder and both lost to a drag frame quadzilla, due to placement i raced in the finals had it beat to 60 feet but it was over after that. i also raced in the fourstroke class the turbo was down at the time i again got second, bye .003, and my slowest run of the day, i guess that is why we race, i made a mistake and it cost me the trophy well i got a trophy but not the biggest one. meet cardiac he was nice guy, raced once at the end he tells you he's a big guy but he doesn't race like one. we beat the alba guys again in the barrel race so they got shaving cream in the face this time must of liked the pie last year. dsslueath may be the new turbo guy he must have put a good 20 hours in on that thing.

Just got the update from Gary.
He stayed at the hospital to recoup. He hasnt quite sealed that punctured lung yet, but is doing well. He fractured 5 ribs and his left lung deflated 40% before they tubed it. He will be in the hospital until his lung seals and he is able to hold pressure on his own. He may be transferred to a local hospital within a few days if he cant be released from there. I guess the Lower Umpqua Hospital likes him so much, they are keeping him there. LOL.
He is doing well and his spirits are high. The bike did an impressive run. It beats everything I have seen on a DS. I rode this bike up Banshee hill and accellerated from the tight spot up to 4th gear and pulled a wheelie the rest of the way up with power to spare. It pulls all the way through the powerband like no other. What a ride!
Kelly, it was a pleasure to meet you. You all should look at KMS for the power they deliver. THe only problems were with the tubing and some minor weld problems. Other than that, the kit was perfect. Nothing to complain about! Richard, thanks for steering us that way (Turbo). You were right on!
Those of you that know Gary can PM DSSleuth or me to get Garys # at the hospital. He would enjoy the calls and support.
Hey, everyone remember to wear your helmets! This would have been worse with no helmet. Even on those "test runs". Ride safe.
