I hate to shake things up but, Richard and I were talking this afternoon and Jeff, AZ and others have motorhomes that they don't want to end up leaving burried at the mountain.

How would you guys feel about a circle to the left of the first bathroom? Harder surface there so the big rigs can get in and out without a problem.

You can see the mountain from anywhere you camp but, it is a little longer ride to the hill (about 30 seconds more).

 

it gets awefully dusty down there, what if we block off a big area in the finger? Plenty hard enough for big motorhomes. I still think they would be ok out where we were before. Down there by the first bathroom is too far away from the hill IMHO but i will go where everybody wants to go. As long as we arent right there by the side of the road there at the base. Maybe near where you(duneme) were for memorial weekend.

Hey guys! Just installed some new lights for night riding and damned if my taillight didn't do out. Does anyone have an extra I can buy as I might not be able to get one before next weekend as I am out of town. I really want to night ride so any help is much appreciated!

 

you guys that haven't been before want to check those tail lights the rangers are all over those not working. led for less than 10 bucks keeps you out of trouble

The taillight is an 1157 - this is one of the cheapest, most common bulbs available. I should have extras, and if you don't get one I'll give you one, free. However you can get them at Wal Mart, and probably even the grocery store.

 

Lets decide by tomorrow evening(sunday evening) where we want to all camp. I figure down by the 1st bathroom is ok but we all need to decide then tomorrow evening i will put up a new post saying where the camping location will be. I think all of us together and we will all have a great time so down by the first bathroom is ok. No thunderstorms are forecast so we shouldnt get any nasty winds so dust shouldnt be a factor..

I'll be there early or mid-day Thursday. Who is going to be there on Thursday?? We should find out what vehicles to look out for so we don't get to far apart. I'll be coming with my step-dad, well be in a new grey over black ext. cab Ford F-250 pickup towing a white gooseneck horse trailer. I've never been to Sand Mt. so I'm pretty green on the geographical features of the area.

those of us that are out of towners are pretty much neutral on where we set up the circle, I'm going to leave that discision to the regulars who know the best place to camp. As long as it is a large enough area to accomodate a big group.
