countryjoeglass-I here what you are saying about people thinking that they will gain HP from a cdi but in my case on my baja the rev limiter would kick in so soon that it hindered performance so bad that any raise in the limit would be a benefit.A cdi may not give you horsepower but if it changes the power curve it can be seen as a real enhancement if it allows for pushing the rpms up higher between gear shifts.

Im looking for 2 stock CDIs ... please PM me if you would like to sell... or Email me at jpersak@cableaz.com

All this talk about no gains with aftermarket CDIs has convinced me to stick with the stockers for my other DS.

2 things:

1) doesnt the 04x have a higher rev-limit than the older ones do --

like 7900( maybe7500), some single curve cdi only bring you up to 8500,

is that worth it?

2) some remove them completely, is this safe or a good way to blow a motor?
