Is it really that good?

My wife was looking at trading in the rincon 650 on a 400 Bombardier. The dealer said that they are just absolutely phenomanal. Is it true? Can they really outpull some of the big bores? Are they really that great in the mud?

Fantastice, awesome, supurb! What else do you want to know. I purchased my outlander 400 6 months ago from the dealer. My unit was a demo and came with 1,300.00 kms (canadian) on it. I put new tires "Bear Claws" 26 x12x12 on it and this has been an unreal bike. I'm in love. I run with Polaris 500/700's no problem. The only thing I found with this bike is the frame dings up and tends dent easily. We fixed this by welding a skid plate from the front of the frame threw to the back and the 6 ply tires have made a huge difference (came from dealer with 4 ply).
My bike is for sport only and sport is what I put it threw. In the snow it doesn't sink like the heavier Polaris and had no problem getting threw the deep fresh stuff. In the mud this bike again is very lite and handles water no problem. Only draw back is your gonna get muddy off the front of the bike as the front fenders are cut back a bit to sharpley. You can get around this by standing up and leaning forward in the muck! Jumping this quad is also a dream, it is perfectly weighted and lands soundly. No hesitation. It is still a light enough bike to throw your weight around and really dig into those tight loose corners. Four wheel drive is there when you need it and this bike will carry you threw anything in low 4.
No if your wife is not an agressive rider I still recommend this bike. I think for all that is out there this bike compares in every way and I've just heard they are coming out with the 800 for those that want more than what the 400 can offer. I've always been a Yamaha lover and all our dirt bikes are Yamies, but this atv is just a dream. I'm very happy with this and recommend it to anyone.
Maintance, well as of yet there hasn't been any. If your interested I'll post my findings on here later as I pull my bikes apart for complete clean ups in the winter. Or feel free to email me direct.
